CHBN is now pleased to offer three alternative web streams in the following formats: OGG VORBIS, AAC and MP3.
The Ogg Vorbis and AAC streams offer the best quality using highly efficient state-of-the-art audio technology and should play in most browsers on most devices.
If you have a problem playing the AAC stream or using a mobile device where data / bandwidth is at a premium you should use our MP3 stream. This offers slightly reduced quality but provides full compatibility across all devices
Our streams can also be played using iTunes and a number of dedicated media players using the web site addresses shown below the players. CHBN recommends TapIn Radio for Windows or VLC Media player which is available for all major operating systems and is also available as an app for iPhones, Android phones or Windows phones.
All the software mentioned on this page is free to download and use.
If you have a hi-fi/stereo system with an auxiliary 'AUX' input you will achieve better sound by connecting the headphone output of your computer, tablet or mobile phone to the aux input of your stereo. You will most likely need a connecting cable with a 3.5mm stereo plug at one end and two RCA phono plugs at the other.
